ALC ANNOUNCES USE OF NANOTECHNOLOGY TO PROTECT ITS BRANDS

ALC confirmed it has been perfecting the use of nanotechnology to ensure authenticity for its Blackglama and American Legend branded mink.

Joe Morelli, CEO of ALC, states, “This technology allows us to individually identify every Blackglama and American Legend branded pelt in a simple and inexpensive way that is so unobtrusive, no one would ever know unless it had to be proven in court. We’ve been working on this, under a secrecy agreement, for several years now. The biggest challenge has been finding a way for this identification to survive the dressing process. Up until now there has really been no valid method for traceability ofthe mink into the final garment or accessory.”
